Q2400 Dual T1/Ethernet QoS Access Router
Flexible, multi-port architecture enables a variety of network applications
Kentrox introduces the Q-Series™ family of QoS Access Routers, providing all-in-one networking solutions to small and medium offices. With the Q-Series, customers get the functions of an IP router, Quality-of-Service (QoS) appliance, Virtual Private Network (VPN) appliance, firewall, WAN access device and Ethernet switch - all in a single, affordable device. Integrating six devices into a single unit significantly reduces capital outlay and management and maintenance expenses over the life of the product.
Kentrox Q-Series Access Routers are designed to be easy enough for less experienced staff to install and set up. It uses an embedded, Web-style graphical user interface (GUI) that is simple, intuitive and requires no special training.

Affordable access for small to medium offices
With their integrated feature set, low price, and easy-to-use GUI, the Kentrox Q-Series Access Routers are designed for the specific needs of small to medium businesses. They are interoperable with Cisco routers, integrating easily into existing networks.
Quality performance for critical business applications
Many of today's companies are migrating to converged IP networks by running voice and video over IP in addition to their data traffic. It is crucial, however, that these real-time applications do not suffer in performance when competing with bursty data/Web traffic for WAN bandwidth. To help network managers ensure these critical applications perform well, the Q-Series Access Router includes the functionality of a full-featured Quality-of-Service appliance.
Graphical QoS
The Q-Series router lets users quickly set up traffic-shaping policies and view graphical QoS reports.

Right out of the box, the Q-Series router prioritizes video and voice traffic with its default settings—even through VPN tunnels. Additionally, the Q-Series lets users set up policies to further optimize application performance. They can then graphically monitor network traffic to see whether critical applications are performing as expected, and tweak as necessary.
Access to carriers' enhanced IP services
As carriers begin to offer IP QoS services, customers need a way to take advantage of these new options. Traditional QoS implementions by other vendors are complex and difficult to execute. With its easy-to-use GUI, the Q-Series router provides a better method for applying policies to legacy applications so that users can more readily protect the performance quality of business applications.
Security-breach protection for internal systems
With the rapid increase in Internet utilization and network-related technologies, it is essential that businesses protect their internal systems from outside security breaches. To help companies reduce the risk of unwanted intrusions, the Q-Series router includes an integrated firewall.
Proactive Security
When attempted intrusions are detected, the offending IP addresses are automatically blocked, protecting your network.

Additionally, many businesses are choosing to set up Virtual Private Networks to take advantage of the cost savings associated with Internet communications. With its integrated VPN appliance, the Q-Series router enables businesses to set up secure, cost-effective networks over Internet services.
