| ATM ASE for Visual UpTime | |
| General | Monitors traffic on user-specified ports and VCs Sends SLM messages of the configured size every 15 minutes to Visual UpTime Sends SNMP traps about AAC events to Visual UpTime Field replaceable (not hot-swappable) |
| Provides data for Visual UpTime reports | Burst advisor for channel and end-to-end VC ATM Quality of Service Network usage profile Most active channels and VCs and circuits in channel Most underutilized and overutilized channels and VCs Utilization and throughput for channel and VC, by Class of Service and AAL type for channel Usage counts for channel and single-ended and end-to-end VC Most congested VCs Service level verification statistics for end-to-end VC, and service level report Availability, frame delivery ratio, and round-trip delay for VC Top problem physical lines and access channels for ATM Access line performance |
| Provides data for Visual UpTime toolsets | Event Processor Troubleshooting Planning and Reporting |
| Provides data for Visual UpTime Troubleshooting views | Real-time, 2 hours, and 2 days Access line summary and statistics views Access channel summary, statistics, burst, burst advisor, circuit details, and AAL utilization VC summary, statistics, burst, burst advisor, congestion, service advisor, and verify connectivity |
| Provides events to the Visual UpTime Event Processor | Link layer and circuit changes Physical layer state changes SNMP authentication failure Cold starst and warm starts |
| FPING Termination for ServicePoint and DataSMART | |
| Far-end statistics | Allows ServicePoint and DataSMART devices at the far end of monitored circuits to collect SLA statistics Round-trip delay End-to-end delay Data delivery ratio Frame delivery ratio Frame Dropped - Received and Transmitted |
| FPING response | Responds to FPING messages from other Kentrox equipment, such as ServicePoint SDUs and DataSMART Frame monitoring DSUs |
| Traffic Monitoring Capabilities | |
| Criteria for networks-side monitoring | The SDM's network-side monitoring can be done only for ports and circuits that meet all of the following criteria Network-side port uses the ATM UNI protocol and any PLM other than the J2 PLM Circuit is on a port that has network-side monitoring enabled Circuit is cross-connected to another circuit that is on a cell port, a VBR packet port configured for Frame Relay, or the ISC port Circuit's cross-connect is configured to be a bi-directional, unicast BCC that uses AAL5 adaption. The VCC may be a part of a VPL The SDM's FPING termination feature must also meet the above criteria, except that the network-side port may also use the Frame Relay protocol. |
| Other | Monitors up to 512 VCs Monitors VCs with a maximum aggregate rate equivalent to bi-directional DS3 (44.736 Mbps) with 200 byte packets. |
| ACO Button | |
| ACO Button | The Alarm Cut Off button deactivates the audible alarm relay contacts. |
| Backup Configuration Memory | |
| Memory | 1 MB non-volatile configuration memory controlled by ISC. |
