HILLSBORO, OREGON—August 4, 2006—Kentrox®, a leading manufacturer of radio access networking solutions, enhances its CrossPATH products with improved diagnostic capabilities. CrossPATH enables wireless carriers to aggregate and manage today’s existing cell sites while providing migration options to future packet-based technologies.
The enhanced features in CrossPATH enable wireless carriers to easily monitor and diagnose T1 line problems remotely, improving technician efficiency and reducing costs. The software release includes:
- BERT capabilities – enhanced bit error rate testing with standard and custom loopbacks
- T1 signal voltage threshold alarm – advanced notification of T1 degradation to minimize line outages
- NAT with port translation (NAPT) – manage a cell site with fewer IP addresses
- Reporting – 7 day embedded reports to enable technicians access to history and trending for easy diagnostics
